This policy sets out how The Showroom Collective CIC approaches recruitment, employment, and engagement of staff, volunteers, and contractors in a fair, transparent, and inclusive way.
Scope
This policy applies to employees (when appointed), freelancers, session leaders, volunteers, and directors where relevant.
The organisation currently has no employees. This policy applies to future recruitment and current engagement of volunteers and contractors.
Principles
The organisation is committed to fair recruitment, equal opportunity, and selection based on skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
Recruitment process
Roles may be filled through open recruitment or direct appointment, depending on the nature and requirements of the role.
Decisions will be documented and conflicts of interest managed.
Equality and diversity
Recruitment complies with the Equality Act 2010. No applicant will be treated less favourably due to a protected characteristic.
Safeguarding
Where roles involve children or vulnerable adults, appropriate safeguarding measures and checks will be applied.
Review
